We had an idea with Melanie’s new merchandise to try and re-create the look of a Nishika N8000 - A 35mm Film Camera that takes four images simultaneously.
To do this on a digital camera I found a frame I thought could have some interesting depth / parallax and set up my camera on a slider with a hard light mimicking a camera flash. I then set my camera to continuously take photos and took photos at different points along the slider.
In Premiere Pro I played the photos back to back in a boomerang style. This gave me the freedom to play with the length of each “frame.”
From there it was as simple as creating a loop and exporting as an MP4.
